BOB conference is a place for developers, architects, and decision-makers
to explore technologies beyond the mainstream in software development
and to find the best tools available to software developers today. Our
goal is for all participants of BOB to return home with new insights
that enable them to improve their own software development
experience.
The program features 14 talks and 8 tutorials on current topics:

distributed programming, formal methods, generative art, event-driven
systems, the human brain, Haskell, Python, Scala, Lua, Clojure,

Derek Dreyer will give the keynote talk.
Due to COVID-related risks, BOB will take place online, entirely
within a Gather Town virtual world. We've placed special emphasis on
enabling social, casual interaction, in addition to our stellar
program.
Registration is open - early bird student tickets are €5, regular

The Symposium on Trends in Functional Programming (TFP) is an

Articles must be original and not simultaneously submitted for

functional programming: theoretical, implementation-oriented, or
experience-oriented. Applications of functional programming techniques
to other languages are also within the scope of the symposium.
Topics suitable for the symposium include, but are not limited to:
* Functional programming and multicore/manycore computing
* Functional programming in the cloud
* High performance functional computing
* Extra-functional (behavioural) properties of functional programs
* Dependently typed functional programming
* Validation and verification of functional programs
* Debugging and profiling for functional languages
* Functional programming in different application areas:
security, mobility, telecommunications applications, embedded
systems, global computing, grids, etc.
* Interoperability with imperative programming languages
* Novel memory management techniques
* Program analysis and transformation techniques
* Empirical performance studies
* Abstract/virtual machines and compilers for functional languages
* (Embedded) domain specific languages
* New implementation strategies
* Any new emerging trend in the functional programming area

== Best Paper Awards ==
To reward excellent contributions, TFP awards a prize for the best
paper accepted for the formal proceedings.
TFP traditionally pays special attention to research students,
acknowledging that students are almost by definition part of new
subject trends. A student paper is one for which the authors state
that the paper is mainly the work of students, the students are listed
as first authors, and a student would present the paper. A prize for
the best student paper is awarded each year.
In both cases, it is the PC of TFP that awards the prize. In case the
best paper happens to be a student paper, that paper will then receive
both prizes.
== Instructions to Author ==
Papers must be submitted at:

Authors of papers have the choice of having their contributions
formally reviewed either before or after the Symposium.
== Post-symposium formal review process ==
Draft papers will receive minimal reviews and notification of
acceptance for presentation at the symposium. Authors of draft papers
will be invited to submit revised papers based on the feedback received
at the symposium. A post-symposium refereeing process will then select
a subset of these articles for formal publication.
== Paper categories ==
Draft papers and papers submitted for formal review are submitted as
extended abstracts (4 to 10 pages in length) or full papers (20
pages). The submission must clearly indicate which category it belongs
to: research, position, project, evaluation, or overview paper. It
should also indicate which authors are research students, and whether
the main author(s) are students. A draft paper for which all authors
are students will receive additional feedback by one of the PC members
shortly after the symposium has taken place.
== Format ==
Papers must be written in English, and written using the LNCS

It is with great pleasure to welcome you to The 5th edition of Conference on Cloud and Internet of Things 2021 (CIoT'21) will be held from November 8 to November 10, 2021 in Marrakech, Morocco.
CIoT provides a high-quality international academic and industrial exchange forum for experts and scholars in the field of intelligent systems, cloud computing and Internet of Things.
The conference will be designed and prepared as a in person event. However, in the case of perduring traveling restrictions (official or de facto) during the conference dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be ready to convert the conference to a fully on-line event.
We hope the conditions will allow for in-person participation, so we can enjoy face-to-face discussions and coffee breaks again. It would also give the opportunity to participants to visit the beautiful city of Marrakech.
CIoT'21 is a conference focusing on the challenges of managing Internet of Things applications while considering the whole end-to-end architecture over the sixth generation of mobile networks (6G) and next-generation data center networking from to cloud to the edge and IoT devices. The next generation of telecommunication networks is expected to support a growing number of smart terminals, such as cell phones, sensors and other connected objects, to provide real-time applications and to provide intelligence and trust embedded in network infrastructure. To meet these requirements, the 6G envisions the use of artificial intelligence, cloud and edge computing. The 6G network will absorb the billions of flows generated by things while considering the requested QoS and the cohabitation of M2M, M2H and H2M flows. Then, the flows will be processed in data centers and applications will exploit the extracted knowledge.
The main objective of CIoT'21 is to address challenges of clouds and IoT systems from the sensors/machines to the end-users attached to the Cloud while considering the 6G network connecting both IoT and Cloud domains.
Authors are invited to submit original contributions that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers should be prepared using the IEEE 2-column conference style and are limited to 8 pages (full papers). They have to be submitted electronically in PDF format. Papers exceeding page limits, multiple submissions, and self-plagiarized papers will be rejected without further review. All other papers will sustain a thorough single-blind review process.
CIoT'21 will also hold an industrial track. The industrial track gathers scholars and industrial participants to highlight practical and real-world studies and applications of cloud and IoT technologies. This track aims to foster cooperation between participants engaged in scientific research and practitioners working to improve the development of new cloud and IoT applications. Each submission should describe the problem addressed, the approach used, the current state of the project, an evaluation of the benefits or lessons learned, and future developments. Industrial track submissions are extended abstracts of 2 pages.

and related areas. This year, we are announcing "PEPM 30", a project aiming
at preserving and celebrating the history of PEPM. To this effect, the program
includes five invited talks by the key contributors of the PEPM community.
We will have a PEPM 30+ History Celebration Day at PEPM 2023.

Certified Programs and Proofs (CPP) is an international conference on practical and theoretical topics in all areas that consider formal verification and certification as an essential paradigm for their work. CPP spans areas of computer science, mathematics, logic, and education.
CPP 2022 (https://popl22.sigplan.org/home/CPP-2022) will be held on 17-18 January 2022 and will be co-located with POPL 2022. CPP 2022 is sponsored by ACM SIGPLAN, in cooperation with ACM SIGLOG, and supported by a diverse set of industrial sponsors.
Similarly to other events collocated with POPL 2022, CPP will take place as an in-person event at the Westin Philadelphia (99 South 17th Street at Liberty Place, 19103 Philadelphia), and will require attendees to provide proof of vaccination (details will be available soon). Authors who are unable to attend CPP in person will be able to present remotely. All talks will be recorded, and all recordings will be available either as a livestream or soon afterwards.

### Subsidized student registration
To facilitate in-person participation of undergraduate and graduate students who require financial assistance, CPP 2022 offers the opportunity to register at a special reduced rate, determined on a case-by-case basis, and implemented using a special-purpose registration code on POPL's registration website. Students wishing to apply for such support may do so by sending mail to the CPP conference co-chairs (Beringer and Krebbers, see below for their email) preferably by December 24, 2021, with a brief description of their situation. Notifications will be sent out at most one week later; hence, students who cannot be supported will still have the opportunity to register at the publicly available reduced rate, which is available until January 3rd. Applications arriving after December 24th will be considered only in exceptional cases. Students who already receive registration support for PLMW or are supported by SIGPLAN PAC are not eligible.

The 27th ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Functional
Programming will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on September 11 - 16,
2022, with the option of virtual participation. ICFP provides a forum
for researchers and developers to hear about the latest work on the
design, implementations, principles, and uses of functional
programming.
Proposals are invited for workshops (and other co-located events, such
as symposiums) to be affiliated with ICFP 2022 and sponsored by
SIGPLAN. These events should be less formal and more focused than ICFP
itself, include sessions that enable interaction among the attendees,
and foster the exchange of new ideas. The preference is for one-day
events, but other schedules can also be considered.
The workshops are scheduled to occur on September 11th (the day before
ICFP) and September 15-16th (the two days after ICFP).
